Clock 6 sketches out the path of a point particle coupled to three masses by an inverse square force. Points of interest:
This is the first piece that couples the the underlying clock to a dynamical system.
Almost any interesting dynamical system has free parameters (in this case the `charges` of the trace point and the clock hands and the coupling constant), and the outcome of the piece therefor also has free parameters. Small changes to the parameters can produce extremely different outcomes, so this clock really represents a family of images.
Since the dynamic part of this system is non-linear, very small changes in the initial condition of the clock, even for the same simulation parameters, produce pieces which diverge rapidly. However, since the hands of the clock are always in fixed positions, two clocks started at nearly the same time will produce very similar pieces on a large scale that nevertheless differ entirely in their details.
